Paper Handling : The R 506 PLTTL UV features a high-capacity feeder with a maximum pile height of 31.5 in (800 mm) and a sheet thickness range of 0.06-0.6 mm. The press is equipped with a double-sheet detection system and an anti-static device to prevent sheet sticking. The delivery system has a maximum pile height of 31.5 in (800 mm) and is equipped with a jogger and a pile Turner for easy sheet handling.
Printing Unit : The printing unit of the R 506 PLTTL UV features six colors plus a UV coating unit, with a maximum print speed of 15,000 sheets per hour. The press uses a 1:1:1:1:1:1 cylinder configuration and has a print resolution of 254 lpi (100 l/cm). The printing unit is equipped with Manroland's proprietary Alcolor dampening system and a temperature-controlled inking system.
Ink System : The R 506 PLTTL UV uses a high-pigment, low-VOC UV ink system with a capacity of 2.64 gal (10 L) per color. The ink system features a circulation system with a temperature control range of 20-40°C (68-104°F) and an ink viscosity control system.
Plate Cylinder : The plate cylinder of the R 506 PLTTL UV has a diameter of 4.33 ft (1.32 m) and a circumference of 13.45 ft (4.1 m). The plate cylinder is equipped with a plate changing system that allows for fast and easy plate changes, reducing downtime and increasing productivity.
