Paper Handling : The unwind module includes a high-performance 76 mm air core (lug type), servo braking system with closed-loop tension control, and automatic web guiding. It supports automatic tension adjustment, splice guides with paper clamps, and end-of-roll detection. The infeed roll features servo-driven nip roll tension control, while the rewind module offers direct torque motor drive for film-to-board products, with options for inside or outside rolls and roll break detection.
Printing Unit : The press features 8 independent flexo printing modules, each equipped with HMI touch-screen interfaces, 28 DP/1/8” helical gearing, and servo-driven impression rolls. Modules include pre-register and auto-register functions, cartridge-based inking units, and on-run lateral/linear register adjustments. The system supports automatic plate throw-off and constant anilox rotation, with individual Eco-control dryers (0-2Kw IR lamps) and forced air drying for progressive temperature control.
Ink System : Each printing module incorporates an ink fountain tray with integral metering roll, doctor blades, and side wipers. The system ensures precise ink control with independent servo-driven anilox rolls and print cylinders, supporting consistent color application and quick changeovers.
Plate Cylinder : The press includes a FOCUS Video Plate Mounter (Platemate) for precise plate mounting. Printing modules feature independent servo-driven plate cylinders with pre-register setup functions and auto-register capabilities. Manual lateral and linear register adjustments are available, along with rotary die adaptors for enhanced versatility.
