The center-shaft driven Unwinder 550 feeds a roll of paper into the printer for continuous printing. Standard features of the Unwinder 550 include an interactive touch screen display, compatibility with multiple core sizes and an easy-to-use splice station. The Unwinder can be equipped with an optional splice sensor to automatically detects roll junctions and stop the feeding process to secure the safety of Ink-Jet print heads. The Unwinder 550 can also be equipped with a heavy paper kit to support graphic arts applications such as photo books, calendars, brochures and more.
