PackPlus 2022

As per market reports, “The packaging sector is emerging as one of the fastest growing industries globally.” The industry is expected to reach $ 1.05 trillion by 2024, driven by the rising demands from major industries such as pharmaceutical, FMCG and electronics. Indian packaging industry is also seeing substantial growth owing to the awareness around clean water, safe food, and pharmaceuticals coupled with increasingly adopting and shifting towards digital transformation.  
Over the years, PackPlus has established itself as the most coveted trading exhibition show for the packaging industry in India. It has become the focal point of industry stakeholders, key experts, live-demonstration, product launches and market trends from all facets of packaging and supply chain sector. 

Like previous editions, this year too packaging industry gathered with full rigor for face-to-face business networking at PackPlus 2022 held between 7-9th July at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Being India's foremost trade show for packaging, this year it welcomed more than 300 exhibitors representing manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors encompassing packaging, converting, corrugated, paper packaging and printing sectors.  

It hosted over 170 live demonstrations from different brands and saw 70+ product launches on its floor. Anuj Mathur, chief operating officer, RX India, said: “It makes us always very happy to bring together the entire packaging industry for a face-to-face meet through our exhibition. Like in 2021, this year around too we delivered a successful physical event despite the challenges. We provided an impressive platform to our customers to launch their new products, find new business opportunities and enable growth across the packaging sector.” 

It also conducted a concurrent networking conference, International Packaging Conclave on 7-8 July. Over 70+ industry eminent veterans and experts from Amazon, Unilever, Bisleri, Mother Dairy, ITC, Pepsico, Nestle, Haldirams, Mondelez, JK Paper, MTR, Del Monte, Deloitte, GSK, Emami, HP, Ecoware and many more spoke at the two-day conference focused on the theme smart and sustainable packaging.  

Panel discussions, case studies and experts’ insights highlighted present challenges and best practices within the packaging industry. New packaging technologies along with converting and sustainable packaging solutions took center stage during these discussions. 

The unprecedented success of PackPlus New Delhi has added to the enthusiasm, and the industry is now gearing up for the South edition of the event. It is scheduled to take place from 16 – 18 December, 2022.  PackPlus South 2022 will come together with PrintFair and SupplyPlus at the state-of-the-art venue of Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The requirement for packaging is rising across sectors with traditional businesses preferring to package products. The retail and e-commerce is growing rapidly, giving the sector a robust growth. And PackPlus certainly presents potential growth opportunities for new entrepreneurs, and small and medium enterprises with face-to-face access to prominent brands in packaging industry.

PackPlus concluded in 2022 on a high note with satisfied exhibitors and visitors. The exhibition showcases new-to-market products, solutions and technologies from India and overseas. It featured new launches from the exhibiting companies and displayed a large gamut of LIVE running machines, and provided a total business platform to the exhibitors and visitors.
