Machine Dalal - the Journey so far

A journey of thousand miles is the commonest of cliches. But if the shoe fits.  

And luck played a very important role in the initial push for Machine Dalal. Tomorrow when the books would be written, tales would be told and songs would be sung, the word most likely to describe us would be 'serendipity'.  

But apart from the first few days of flourish, everything has been a grind. We are a team of experienced engineers, some more accomplished than others, but engineers, nevertheless. We understand the difference between doing something and doing something well. And we are aware success comes when we do something extremely well.  

This newsletter is another step between our path from doing something to doing something extremely well. Every day we face a new challenge, the dream stays alive, but the path gets more treacherous, as Gandalf says to Frodo, ' all we have to decide is what to do with the time given to us,' or the opportunity in our case.  

We have pretty much laid down our blueprint for this organization here, there are variations in how we are going about it, but we have a clear vision of what we intend to achieve.  

A how. By painstakingly providing delight to every print professional who chooses to be part of Machine Dalal. We could always hope for more, but in so far, we seem to be doing well enough.  

You fight wars with the forces that you have, not the forces you wish you did.  

I think pretty much the same thing can be said of Machine Dalal. The constraints that we have are helping us build a refined software product, the likes of which the industry has never seen.  

It does sound like a hyperbole, but this is what are trying to build here, a veritable community of print, packaging and converting professionals; from all walks of life - traders, consumers, brands, manufacturers of machines and manufacturers of parts, financing and trade services, professionals, and consumables.  

If you have made it this far, I profusely thank you for being part of the journey and we would like you to know that are diligently and persistently working towards building something that you as a patron of our software would be extremely proud of.
