Day 2 – 13th Printpack India

‘We are not the registration counter.’

We were supposed to see the maximum footfalls today, and probably we did. We were aptly assisted by the bosses, three to be exact. Imagine a life as program manager who has three bosses. The Business of Information Technology can be quite tough, but who is complaining.

So, we received a whole lot of footfalls and we were delightfully excited and visibly tired by the end of the day. I think we did a decent job, considering that more than half of the team arrived late. But during the day, everyone pulled their socks up, and worked their shifts and we feel that we did a decent job of putting the message out.

Now we only have three more grueling days to go.

Life is full of surprises, some of them can be really unpleasant surprises. As men of business we prefer to plan things and we hope the plan would fall into place. As humans, we also tend to be self-congratulatory up until the time we hit the mighty brick wall of reality.

Of course that did not happen.

What did however happen was a lot of apologies to a lot of people who were hoping to skip the lines and get registered with us instead. The gods also punished us by pouring rain on over roofless counter.

Hence, one more lesson in the school of life.
