15th Printpack Edition- A Brief Report from Machine Dalal.
The Greater Noida event marked the return of Printpack India Expo post pandemic.

When the rescheduling of 15th edition of Printpack India from its original date of 11-15th March to 26-30 May was announced due to growing concerns over rising Omicron cases, it seemed a continuation of things that have become a new norm. At the same time, everybody was hopeful that things would turn around for sure in May. And turned around they did!
Printpack India was held at India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, India on schedule from 26- 30 May and received a great response despite the intense heat wave sweeping the region. The president of IPAMA, Rakesh Sodhi hailed the industry for participation in huge numbers. He said, "The overwhelming support received from the exhibitors has given us strength to take up even more challenging jobs in future. Thanks a lot to the industry colleagues, exhibitors, visitors, staff and the venue for the grand success of 15th PrintPack India,”. There were 487 companies from the print and packaging industry that exhibited their latest machines and related products at the Expo. According to IPAMA, 1,03,412 visitors from 52 countries visited the exhibition to learn more about new innovations in the industry and meet suppliers and printers.
At the inauguration of the show, as has been the tradition, IPAMA conferred Life achievement awards on five of the leading industry professionals. The awarded persons are: Datta Deshpande of Pratham Technologies, SS Maan of Maan Machine Tools, Shanti Pal Ahuja of Multitec, KG Suresh of Autoprint Machinery, and Ramendra Singh of Sond Engineering.
One could see lots of big brands showcasing their print and packaging machines equipped with the latest technologies in unique ways to garner more attention as well as to educate visitors about them. For instance, Heidelberg had arranged live demos of the Prinect at its stand. It was quite enthralling to see the things in production and how we rarely think about how they are actually made. It was indeed an educational experience! The manufacturers were promoting their e-Shop platform where the customers can easily place their orders for the required spare parts and consumables.
At Machine Dalal, we have an extensive portfolio of Heidelberg machines from all over the world. Click here to know more.
Among other prominent brands was Bobst, which had great success at the event as it went on to close deals for 7 machines including 1 die cutter machine and 6 folder gluers. However, the main highlight of the event was HP’s launch and running live the HP indigo 15K press, its flagship model, for the very first time in India. Along with it, they also introduced HP indigo 6K at the event as well as presented a virtual launch of HP Indigo 100K.
On the home front, one can see lots of equipment exhibited by the Indian manufacturers and there was an apparent shift towards book production, paper bags, packaging and increased adoption of automation. The multicolor offset machines also seemed to be in great demand and the current financial year seems to be similar to the pre pandemic years.
Our Machine Dalal team too met all the industry professionals and provided the necessary details about our platform and how better it aligns with their business requirements. We took into account their requirements and suggestions and promised to contact them with a more detailed knowledge as soon as possible. It was an insightful day for us as we again got to recognize the importance of the physical exhibition in empowering organisers, exhibitors and businesses alike.
All in all, the expo paid special attention to the role that meeting face-to-face has for business, especially following years of disruption owing to the pandemic. This further offered opportunities for Printing & Packaging fraternity for entering into joint ventures, source equipment and collaborations.
We greatly value the opportunities these exhibitions bring to all stakeholders and look forward to attending more events and being an active partner in the growth of the print industry. Page Break
